The Groom Shop Experience
1. THE SHOWROOM
Enter our Golden Age of Hollywood inspired studio in New York’s storied Flatiron District. Relax at our 12-foot bar with a drink while you explore the wide variety of styles on display, specifically curated to inspire. We’ll throw on a record (we’re partial to Ella Fitzgerald, but maybe Sinatra’s more your speed?) to enhance the experience.
2. THE CONSULTATION
We’ll start by asking a few questions about your tastes and preferences to get to know you better. Once we understand what you like and the type of wedding celebration you’re planning, we’ll help you choose from our wide range of fabrics and styling details. We’ve got 1000’s of fabrics available, so you’re guaranteed to find the perfect look for your big day.
Our stylists are experts in every area of wedding attire, from white tie formal to the casual charm of a country farmhouse ceremony. If you need a little extra fashion advice, you’ve come to the right place. Clients value the expert and honest guidance they receive throughout the process. We’ll happily give you our suggestions on everything from the cut that works best for your build to cuts and colors that are most flattering on you.
3. THE MEASURING
Once you’ve designed your new clothes, we’ll take extensive measurements to ensure a precise fit. Our stylists each have years of experience and are specially trained to take your preferences into account so you end up with your best fitting garment possible.
4. THE FITTING
We’ll contact you upon completion of your garments to schedule a fitting. If any alterations are needed, we generally perform them on-site in about a week or two.
Your fitting is the perfect time to consider all the little details. Need a shirt, bow tie, suspenders, or any other accessories? The Groom Shop is fully stocked with anything a groom might need to round out their complete wedding look, and our stylists are on hand and ready to make recommendations that will really make you shine.
5. BEYOND THE FITTING
Loved the experience and eager to build out your wardrobe beyond your big day? Your pattern and measurements will be on file with Michael Andrews, so designing and ordering future garments will be a seamless process.
